We just received our invoice in the mail for our season tickets and I had to note something strange about it.

The invoice is a whole month early.

"Oh, they must of just sent them out early to give fans a little more time to gather their money."

I was dead wrong. The invoice shows a due date a whole month earlier than usual. The Redskins are now asking their loyal fans to pay their season ticket invoices earlier for a mediocre produt. With the state the economy is in and the state of the team I believe this is truly outrageous.

As I have blogged about before (http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/326555-warning-to-redskins-fans) the Redskins organization and Daniel Snyder are screwing their fans. And it could be said they are doing it to their most loyal fans. People who sign a 5 year contract and fork over as much as 20% of their income to see this mediocre product.

The longer I am in this contract the less enthusiastic I am about the Redskins. I have been a fan for my whole life but that has all went to hell as soon as I signed my soul over to these season tickets.

Let this be a warning.

Did your ticket prices go up this year? If they did, you know Daniel has to pay for those 30 or so workers he recently laid off.

Snyder is an absolute ****. He treats the Redskins like they are his little fantasy league team and he is destroying that once proud franchise literally all by himself. Too bad too, you're the only other fan base in the NFC East that I respect. You all certainly have a lot more class than Philly thats for sure...

I'll have to ask my brother (who's a season tix holder, as well) whether he'll follow through with his threat to give 'em up or not.
I think the prices are the same; they're NOT going up. Still, I've seen enough games in person to last me a lifetime...so I won't miss anything. I was disillusioned after the LAST game I went to, by the fan behavior--REDSKINS fans, that is.
Hell, the MAFIA has better class than Philly "fans"!!! LMMFAO

Prices did not go up but not letting your most loyal fans know earlier that the invoice is coming out sooner with a sooner pay date? Unfair.

I too was embarassed by the behavior of Redskins fans this year at home.

ALL vaild points. I am a DIE HARD Skins Fan, and I am greatly disappointed in the Team's overall production AND more so, Snyder's antics. HOWEVER, I will keep my tickets, Thank You! Just give up your tickets already and stop complaining - there are about 200,000 people on the Wait List that would LOVE to take them off your hands. GO Redskins!!

I gave up my tickets for the coming season. I couldn't justify the cost any longer. My seat was close to $230 per game. Every season - I had to pay for two pre-season games - at full price. Getting to and from the stadium has become a three hour ordeal. The whole experience blows. I can happily watch from the comfort of my home and save the money I would be lining Danny's pockets with. I will always love the uniform - but this ownership group and brain trust - not so much! Go Skins!!!

You are right - ticket prices are staying the same. But this coming season is going to be horrendous. Portis will burn out. Moss will have "hammy" issues. There is a glimmer of hope that one of the other wrs steps up - but I am not holding my breath. The o-line will be a mess - way too old if they keep Fabini, Kendal and Jansen. They need major help on the D-line. Jason Taylor needs to either be cut - or he must take a major pay cut and be moved to either linebacker of left end. Andre Carter needs to be moved to the right end position. The linebackers are getting ancient - and you can't be expecting London to maintain his excellent play as he gets older. Springs only plays when he sees fit - so cut him. Resign Deangelo, and keep Carlos. Carlos did fine until his play was undermined by the coaching staff. He was hitting hard and defending the pass very well. Jason Campbell - well - who knows with the aformentioned offensive line. All in all - I think 6-10 is optimistic. Time to rebuild and call up Marty. Schottenheimer had this team moving in the right direction. And now - ugh. Go Skins!

I am in the last year of a three year contract. I actually fly to the games from Florida, so my expenses are much greater. When I got the invoice this year, I informed the ticket office that, due to the economy, I would need until July to come up with the money. The response was to start dunning telephone calls, and letters threatening to sue me and pull the seats if I didn't pay immediately. I borrowed the money for the tickets, and informed the Skins that this lifelong Skins fan would never send them another dime. Thanks be to God that I only signed on for 3 years. I am sorry for the fans in 10 year contracts. I will be selling my tickets this year to whomever wants them. So, if you see more Eagles, Giants and Cowboys fans in the stands, blame Mr. Snyder and his greed machine.
