11:31 PM ET 02.08 | Hey now everyone... this is a quick dispatch coming at you from Bigalke. I type this on a friend's computer who is visiting from the Rose City... why? Because my laptop has gone on the fritz. Seems like we were having this same problem last year around this time. The computer needs a new part -- this time a new keyboard, rather than the new power board required last year. It appears that the prodigious beard I sport sheds too much... cracking open that thing was like staring at a cashmere sweater... but then that is that and I won't go there further. Suffice it to say, I won't be on the computer much at all for the next week or so. Tentative arrival date for the new part from Apple is slated somewhere around Thursday, 12 February... but then we all know that estimated dates mean jack squat until they're a-knockin' at the door... so until then, hang in there. I'll try to check in as much as possible, but until my new keys arrive I'm out of the loop...
