Well, it's quiet season now in the world of sports. Yeah, we still have the occasional Texas fan trying to throwdown that Texas deserved to play Florida in the BCS Title game. We also still have the one Utah "fan" that has stuck around since the New Year. Aren't you all glad that we are finally in a peaceful, non-homer time of sports?

I was looking over one of my blogs, Dear Utah and your homer:

http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/317757-dear-utah-and-your-homers

After a day like I have had so far today (it's only 10:30 AM on the east coast), I needed a good laugh. I got just that. There were 39 comments on that blog, about 5 of them were mine. There was another 15 or so regulars who commented. That leaves 19 comments. 19 comments were from Utah homers who haven't logged on since early January.

The same can be said about One of a Kind:

http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/322835-one-of-a-kind

This one had less comments, but nevertheless, they were from Gator boys who joined for a week after Florida won.

Anyway, during the month of January I participated in roughly 15 throwdowns. Out of these 15, I had about 10 of them that were "Utah should be number 1" or "Texas>Oklahoma" and, my personal favorite, "Time Tebow is going to be the best ever in the NFL". Just so many stupid people join when their home-town team wins. It's a shame, and because of them that we regulars really can'tdo homer throwdowns unless we directly challenge somebody.

I have noticed that over the past week, there have been many dupe account appearing. These accounts accept a perfectly logical throwdown, and reply with the "u suk", "ur a homer", and, another one of my favorites, "u dont no what ne1 is tlking abut cus u r ****". Once again FanNation, wow.

But chear up all you that have been on here for a while now. I know many of you are contemplating on leaving the site because of either these people, or because of various others (this means you Perloff - are you fired yet???). Don't leave, it's more fun if you don't. I left this site for about 4 months last year, and returned one random day. Since then, I have been back on here everyday (campaigning season was fun for me) looking to embarrass people on throwdowns. It took me a while, but here is my New Year's Resolution that I plan to keep this year: To properly teach stupid people that it is not okay to be stupid on here, because I want to smack them so heard that they become so stupid, they actually cross over into the genius category. If the rest of you join me FanNation, we can make a difference. I hate quoting Obama, but "Yes we can."
