As the trading deadline approaches I cannot help but sit back and think of what might have been with the Leafs this year. Sit back and consider the team that would be on the ice right now and where they would be in the standings if not for some selfish players. first with Mats, he could have gone to a contender and brought Bobby Ryan and a 1st round pick. The same Ryan who leads all rookies in goal scoring. Kaberle would have landed a stud in Jeff Carter and another 1st pick. The same Carter who is second in league scoring. Forget for a minute the other 3 members of the frozen five, these two trades alone would have drastically altered the makeup of the Leafs and put them into the playoffs. Thanks again for the memories Mats, Tomas, Pavel, Bryan and Darcy your legacy as the "Frozen Five" will last for eternity in Leaf Nation.
