Review & Preview

The Badgers are going into a big conference game, with a 3-game conference winning streak. Wisconsin beat #21 Illinois 63-50, Penn State 54-44, and Iowa 69-52. So their closest win over the past 3 games, was 10 points. Against Iowa, Joe Krabbenhoft tied a career high with 16 points, helping Wisconsin get the victory and extend their winning streak. Jason Bohannon added 15 points, Trevon Hughes had 14 points, and Marcus Landry had 9 points.

If the Badgers want to beat Ohio State on Saturday, they will need big performances from Landry, Bohannon, and Krabbenhoft. If Wisconsin can play like they did against Illinois earlier this month, they should have no problem with Ohio State. They will need to watch G/F Evan Turner. He averages 17 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and 2 steals per game. He is their leading scorer, and he can hurt the Badgers like he did to Minnesota in their last game. Turner put up 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He also made 10 of his 12 free throws.

Ohio State is ranked #24 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, and just missed out on the USA Today Poll.

It will be tough for them. But I still think they can get a tourney bid.

I see a loss against OSU, a win against Indiana, and a loss to MSU, with them not going that deep into the tournament, and make it into the NIT Tournament, and win that.
