With spring training for the Nationals about to commence tomorrow (Saturday), I guess it's time for me to start gearing myself up for yet another season of ridicule from the baseball blogosphere.
Or not.
OK, so Adam Dunn signing up for 2 years (and $20 mil) with the Nats doesn't make them instant contenders for the NL East title. What it does, however, is that it gives the Nats a sense of respectibility in the eyes of a few insiders.
(Yeah, I know. That last line looks s*h*i*t*t*y to me, too!!! LMMFAO)
C'mon, give me a little credit here for wanting to believe my Nats can improve this year. The fact we now have a proven 40 HR hitter in the lineup, surely is a step in the right direction. At least, I'd like to think so, anyway...
Let's see, 40 HRs for 5 years straight...plays LF...hey, I can be forgiven if Dunn turns out to be the second coming of Frank Howard (given the right circumstances, of course) down the road. Maybe I can call him "Hondo Lite"...hmmmmm??
It's spring training. I can dream, just like the REST of you...LMAO
