Well, Monday got cancelled, so lets see how the weekend went.
I already told you about Friday night. Tournament sucked, but the cash game had a really happy ending.
Then Saturday got cancelled. Seriously? For Valentines Day?
Sunday was fantastic. I really didn't even have to try. I had pocket Queens 8 times, pocket Kings 4 times and pocket Aces 5 times. I'd love to say I showed great skill and such...but in reality, I cruised to the money. When there were nine players left, I had over 1/3 of the chips in front of me.
But....the luck was great to start, and just went away to finish. When we got to the final 4 and the money, I simply stopped getting ANY cards. The best hand I got after the final 4 was 10-J of Hearts. It was that bad. Anytime anyone raised my big blind, I'd look down to 2-7, or 9-3. But I cashed yet again, so profit is good.
And in the cash game afterwards, I managed to once again fall way behind, only to come back in the end to turn a nice little profit.
On the other hand, one guy in the cash game cashed out $978 dollars.....and had a total profit of....$78. That means at one point he was $900 LOST in the game. Quite an amazing comeback for him to basically break even.
Overall, while I didn't reach my goal of $500 profit, I did have a nice profit for the weekend. Too bad two of the games got cancelled.
I'll write a real blog tomorrow. Tonight, I'll just enjoy another successful poker weekend.
