The first trade in the NBA Trading Deadline Bash was the Adam Morrison trade. In college Morrison looked like a good, unselfish role player that would fit teams well. Michael Jordan may have been a great player, but at GM he has made a name for himself in the basement. With the Wizards he selected a complete bust with the first pick: Kwame Brown. Now on to the present. Morrison has done absolutely nothing for the Bobcats, other than shoot pointless jumpers, and miss. This 3rd overall pick was even worse when MJ passed up perennial all-stars Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay. The Lakers gave away Vladimir Radmanovic because he gave up. At practice he was wearing Vans shoes, not basketball shoes. A standard goof off player with no potential other than the fact of his once amazing perimeter shooting gone horribly wrong. Trade Winner: LA Lakers.

This was the trade that everybody actually cared about, the long awaited swap of the Matrix and JO. The Heat gave cash, Marcus Banks, and Shawn Marion for the Toronto's Jermaine O'Neal, Jamario Moon, and a first round pick. I don't need to discuss the importance of Toronto's first round pick, or cash. We all know that the first round pick is probably better for up to 5 million big ones. Banks has no value. If used right, Marion could play very well. JO will do great for the Heat especially with the Heat having no big man, and Riley desperate to make trades. Moon is a good role player at the scoring end. Trade Winner: Miami Heat.

The Heat got the better end of the deal in the Marion and Banks for Moon / Oneal and a Round 1.

Moon is incredibly underrated and is a great option going to the rim when people crash around Wade will driving.

Oneal is a big man in the middle that Miami needs badly. Toss in the round 1 pick and Miami can use that to continue to add youth to its bench.

Miami is in no way going to win the title this year with this trade, but they are a true Point guard who can drop threes from getting there.

Regardless, if they dont put it together this season or next, then ONeal's contract comes off the books and they can make a splash in the Summer of 2010.
