The Green Bay Phoenix improved to 21-8 after an offensive show in front of a national television audience on ESPNU. The Phoenix drained 13 3-pointers, one shy of the school record, in its 86-75 victory at Long Beach State (13-12) Saturday afternoon.

Senior guard Ryan Tillema netted his fourth career 30-point game and second this season. Tillema, who had 20 first-half points, connected on 7 of his 10 3-point attempts for the game. Tillema's first-half explosion helped the Phoenix to a 52-point opening frame. In its previous five games, the team had averaged just 28.8 points per first half. The senior guard was not alone in offensive production, as he was joined by three other Phoenix players -- Mike Schachtner (16), Rahmon Fletcher (12) and Terry Evans (11) -- in double figures. Green Bay shot 56.4 percent from the field (31-for-55), 59.1 percent from 3-point range (13-for-22) and 100% (11-for-11) from the free throw line on the afternoon.

Green Bay trailed for just 17 seconds and led by as many as 24 points. The Phoenix enjoyed a double-digit advantage for the final 32 minutes of the contest to improve to 3-4 in BracketBusters games, and 2-0 when on the road in the event. The Phoenix has now made at least 10 treys nine times this year, and is 9-0 in those games. In addition, the squad extended its winning streak to 19 games when scoring at least 80 points (9-0 this year). Green Bay closes out the regular season next week with road games against Detroit Thursday night and Wright State Saturday evening. The Phoenix, currently in second place in the Horizon League standings, is battling for seeding in the conference tournament (March 3-10).
