The trading deadline is coming fast and many teams are buyers. They think they have a chance at making the playoffs so they will try to plug in the holes and make a run at October. Lets make a deal:
Adam Dunn To Angels For Bartolo Colon And Some Prospects- This trade makes alot of sense for both teams. The Angels have enough speed and contact hitters to keep the free-swinging Dunn in the line-up to protect Vlad. The Reds meanwhile need pitching in the worse way. The prospects should help too because this team needs to start over and look towards the future.
Brad Lidge To The Devil Rays For Brandan Harris- Think about this. The Astros need a shortstop. The Devil Rays could use a closer(or set-up man.) Brad Lidge needs to get out of Houston. Away from the memories of the moonshot Albert Pujols blasted off him. Tampa is the perfect place to forget about that.
Aaron Rowand To The Pirates For Shawn Chacon and Xavier Nady- The Pirates are in need of a CF because Chris Duffy is out. Aaron would fit perfect with this pesky little team. Phillies bullpen has been beat down by injuries and they need an corner outfielder really bad. Pat Burrell looks lost. All the time.
Pat Burrell To The Cardinals For A Package Of Prospects- Pat Burrell seems like a Cardinal to me. The Cards already have 2 outfielders on the DL and the Phillies won't be asking much for him. Just like they did with Abreu last year. Speaking of him....
Bobby Abreu To The Cubs For Daryle Ward, Will Ohman, and A Low Level Prospect- The Yankees are not going to resign Abreu, so you might as well get something for him. Daryle Ward is a great bench player(which the Yankees need more then pitching)and Will would be the new lefty since Mike Myers has been terrible(lefties hitting over .300 against him)
Jacque Jones To The A's For Alan Embree And Bobby Kielty- The A's hitting is ugly. Jacgue Jones is having a horrible season but he would help alittle. The Cubs sould make this trade to make up for the last one.
Thats all I got for now. If you come up with any other trades, comment. This blog was just for fun.
