Serious post, and the first in a series, previewing the teams in the NL Central, other than the Cubs.
Every sports publication in the world puts out season previews. Some are interesting, some aren’t. For the most part, folks just don’t have the time necessary to do the kind of in-depth preview that is going to be of any use to a reader that actually follows the team being previewed.
So most previews end up being pretty surface level, and boring. It’s much more interesting (read: easy) to simply examine why the team currently sucks and is going to suck in 2009.
So enjoy - we’ll be previewing the suckiness (suckeyness?) of the other teams in the National League Central over the next five weeks.
First up is a team that holds a special place in all Cubs fans’ hearts because of the lovable scamp at the helm - the Cincinnati Reds. Read the full preview.

Not even a Reds fan.. But to be quite honest, I don't think this article could be more flawed and incorrect. In fact, It just sounds like a Cubs fan who's a bit too enthusiastic with not enough facts. The Reds have looked rather impressive during spring training, at least the people who will matter. Especially these young guys like Johnny Gomes, Votto, and Dickerson. I don't think they will beat the Cubs in the division, but they look like a team that's going to be a nuisance for the Cubs until deep in the year.

The point, as you'll see, is to say why ALL the NL Central teams suck. It's not a particular slight to Reds - it's a gimmick.

I grew up in Cincinnati, and I now live in the Chicago area. I think I'm going to start a blog called, "Why Cubs Fans are the Most Annoying in Baseball". Haven't the Cubs set the record for SUCK over the last 100 years or so? Now that's a good bit of SUCK. Another first round playoff CHOKE is on the way for '09!

Its just some chicago fan who knows the cubs are going to choke (again) so he or she makes fun of the other teams it the NL Central Leauge. THIS BLOG IS PROOF THAT CUBS FANS ARE IN COMPLETE DENIAL. ur talking about failure 100+ seasons of not making it past the 1st round of the playoffs is SUCK now lets watch as the cubs LOSE to to the Reds not to mention the Brewers the Cardnials and the Astros while you cheer for the subpar cubs all year long
