Got a fanmail from a "loyal reader" last week, screen name of "gulp", who asked me to stop putting risque titles up. But of course, they couldn't be a "loyal reader" since their created their account that day. So I'm not changing anything.
If they'd like to post as who they really are, and not hide behind fake accounts, I'll listen to their suggestion. But as with other incidents, I am above board and I ask that everyone here be too.
Anyway, got notice last night that a friend of mine cashed in a $330 event in Vegas this weekend, and his son WON a $330 event in Vegas. Just goes to show you that I play with some solid players here in Colorado Springs.
I also joined two Colorado Springs poker groups on Facebook, so I'm hoping that this turns into more game opportunities for me. Playing with my same friends over and over is fun, because I really do like these guys, but it doesn't help my game as much as new stuff does. Plus, I tend to do better against people I don't know very well.
From the weekend, I already reported that I won Friday's tournament....and then Saturday I was home in bed well before midnight. I think I've told you before that I have vertigo, and I never know when it is going to hit me. Well, Saturday night, right in the middle of the cash game....it crushed me. I'm only glad that I limited my losses by quitting playing, because I got sick within seconds of it setting in. I ended up taking a 20 minute nap out in the car before I drove home, just to stop the world from spinning. Luckily, it did stop, otherwise there was no way I was walking anywhere, let alone drive.
Anyway, still up a bit from the weekend, making February another profitable month of poker. The year has started out well.
Games this week tonight, Friday and Saturday....and maybe a motorcycle ride up to Black Hawk on Sunday for the 2PM $60 game again. That was fun.
