All reports from this past weekend concerning outstanding running back Bryce Brown have been positive for the Tigers. He was hosted by stand-out running back Charles Scott and incoming QB Phenom Russell Shepard. He has narrowed his choice to 3-4 schools with LSU presumably at the top of the list. Some are concerned with Brown's odd approach to recruiting and are a bit cautious but the Bayou Bengals have a running back position still vacant. Another twist to this already confusing situation is that Brown's girlfriend is reported to be a student at the Inversity if Tennessee. We all know the effect the significant others can place on the decision process. In the end LSU has a very strong running back signed and the future looks bright for the Tigers. The addition of brown would be icing on the cake.

First comment, pcik is not a word. Pick is the word I was looking for when I fat fingered the keyboard.

It would be good for the Tigers if Brown eventually commits there but I too would be a little concerned about the girlfriend at Tennessee.

I just know this kid isn't going to be a Hurricane. If he wanted to go to Miami he would have already.

A heard that he came out and said that it was a dog fight between LSU and Oregon now

"be careful what you wish for"

hehehehehe

"the Inversity if Tennessee"

How true, considering all the shanannigan's Kiffin's been up to.

March 4, 2009  02:55 AM ET

I'm not sure which Inversity he will pcik but I think he is going to be a bust regardless. I think he is delaying his decision so because he is waiting to see which school gives him the best car. I wouldn't worry to much about the girlfriend women are a dime a dozen at any of the colleges on his list. You guys better quit offering him an airboat and fork out the dime for the Hummer.

March 5, 2009  10:11 AM ET

Miserable, but with the girlfriend thing, I bet he picks Rocky Top.

U of Tennessee also has a history of great running backs (who have some years in the NFL). I haven't seen one in 5 years, but that will likely change.

Oh, what exactly does Oregon offer him now? Wait, the newest.....fastest......Nike sneaker!!!

March 6, 2009  08:49 AM ET

No new reports on Bryce Brown as of now. Guess we'll have to wait a couple of weeks to get his answer.

March 8, 2009  10:25 PM ET

Bryce has been going to Oregon for months now. Remember Tiger fan I told you about Crowton well before last year. The Ducks got rid of him for a reason. And, how many backs do you have in the league?

4 right now

Joseph Addai - Colts
Kevin Faulk - Patriots
Jacob Hester - Chargers
Justin Vincent - Bears

Next year Charles Scott and Keiland Williams will be there as well.

LSU has 4 running backs in the League:

Joseph Addai - Colts
Kevin Faulk - Bears
Jacob Hester - Chargers
Justin Vincent - Bears

Next year they will have Charles Scott and Keiland Williams

On the other hand Oregon has 3 in the League:

Maurice Morris - Detroit
Jonathan Stewart - Carolina
Chris Vincent - Arizona

So what is your point exactly?

March 9, 2009  05:58 PM ET

You want to brag about how many backs you have in the league? Do you even want to try and compare Oregon or LSU to Miami? Miami has produced better backs than both of your schools combined and then some. Those sure are great backs you **** bags brag about!!

March 9, 2009  07:50 PM ET

I don't believe we were talking about Miami. The poster challenged LSU's backs in the league as apposed to Oregon. I dismiss you.

March 9, 2009  07:58 PM ET

Bryce also said that he wanted to be on a good team with a lot of stars. Miami has sucked for years! LSU beat the **** out of them in the Chick-Fil-A bowl so bad that they didn't even score a touch down.Get a life.

March 9, 2009  08:45 PM ET

Hey CenLa, you ass face, you can have that dead beat **** Bryce. I was only making the comment about how bad the backs your piece of sh#t team has produced. I was just in amazement that anyone would try to brag about them.

I understand the comment you made but as a newbie, you broke the first cardinal rule. You jumped on my blog and started trashing my team in a totally unrelated conversation. You also directed profanity toward me which I do not appreciate. I do conclude one of two things when considering you. #1 You're probably a teenager and have no tact. #2 You're the dupe account of one of my buddy's that is trying to be a total ass. Either way you are very welcomed to post here anytime and your input is welcomed. Just refrain from the direct personal attacks and the immaturity. I would also like to add in response to your last comment that LSU does not need Bryce Brown. Miami does. We are set with very strong recruits for the distant future. Hope you get past your name calling and bad attitude. You will probably have a great time on this site.

You have one post but you told me "well before last year"? Dupe account possibly?

March 9, 2009  10:17 PM ET

One last thing Mr. Miami. The U currently has 4 Running backs in the league as well.

Frank Gore - 49er's
Edgerrin James - Cardinals
Willis McGahee - Ravens
Clinton Portis - Redskins

They may be bigger names than the backs from LSU (save Faulk and Addai) but the original challenge was "how many backs do the college's concerned have in the league?"

I think he may end up at the Inversity of Tennessee as well. I just don't trust Kiffin and Orgeron for some reason. We'll see in a few days.

Well ..................I called it two days ago. I should have put money on it. Can't fight the lure of a woman.
