DePaul was with out a question this years Oregon St. The Blue Demons where 8-23 headed into today's game with Cincinnati and had lost every single Big East game (0-18). DePaul hadn't won since December 28th 90-67 against Alcorn St. The Blue Demons struggled against the other Big East bottom dwellers as well, losing to South Florida (by 22), Rutgers (by 19) and South Florida (by 22 and 9). In fact they where getting out scored by 16.4 points a game in conference games. The strange thing about it is that there is actually some talent on this team. Dar Tucker is averaging 18.2 points a game, and has even talked about leaving for the NBA when this season is over, Will Waker is another experienced guard and Mac Koshwal at 6'10", 255 almost averages a double double (9.8 rebounds). So with all that being said the number of people who though that DePaul would beat Cincinnati, a team that had been in the bubble conversation is probably close to the amount of people that had Georgia winning the SEC title last year. Well DePaul used excellent defense, limiting Cincy to just 36% from the field and 23% on three's and Jeremiah Kelly, who averages just 4 points a game his 4 triples in the game to propel DePaul to their first win against a Big East team this year. leave all comments here www.collegebasketball247.blogspot.com
