The drama we have been forced to follow over the last few weeks over whether or not Denver Broncos Jay Cutler will be traded to another team. I personally do not think it is going to happen because it is very hard to replace a quarterback with all the skills Cutler has. But this over dramatization needs to end. Cutler needs to grow up and stop acting like a diva. NFL is a business, and a business of grown MEN.
The so called drama began when Cutler got word that he was involved in trade talks with Tampa Bay. He was definitely not happy with the way things were handled with new head coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels is the former offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots. McDaniels is taking the theory from New England coach Bill Belichick that no player is bigger than the system, not even a big armed Pro-Bowl QB like Jay Cutler. Cutler needs to settle down and soon. This league is not made for whiners. No one in the NFL makes it by running his mouth and acting like a spoiled brat. The QB position is one where mental toughness is a huge necessity, and as of now Jay Cutler isn't showing very much.
Cutler has made this situation all the more laughable by putting his 7,516-square foot home in suburban Parker on the market for $2 million. He also put a smaller home owned by Cutler and his parents, Jack and Sandra Cutler, two miles away, is for sale for $835,000. Cutler, however, is keeping his downtown Denver penthouse, well that is until he is traded if it were to happen.
Right now, I say Cutler stays, plays, and shuts his mouth. He needs to worry more about getting his team to the play-offs and less about some talk about getting traded. This is the NFL, not the ALL CUTLER LEAGUE. Jay Cutler has a great future ahead of him in the league, but his future won't be too bright if he proceeds to act like he should still be in elementary school.
