It was great to see Phoenix Coyote enforcer Brian McGrattan back on the ice doing what he does best. For those of you who don't know, McGrattan had been in an NHLPA supported rehab for substance abuse for the year and this was his first game back.  THis bout with a primed, polished elite heavyweight like Jody Shelley is a fine testament to how McGrattan is. No tune-ups, no smaller guys, just the big boys. If he can stay in uniform there is no doubt that McGrattan has the tools to be a top five heavyweight next season.

McGrattan was total garbage with the Senators. That was a nice scrap, though.

Shows what someone in recovery from substance abuse can do (unlike Pacman and others). Good for McGrattan.

Nice job as always Mac.

You say you're a Vkings fan, but I'm wondering if you are really an Eagles fan. You like chucking snowballs at the Santa Clause and hectoring the Easter Bunny into riducle? Call the poor guy garbage when he's in a fragile state!

;)

When will an eltie Ottawa Enforcer be good enough for you? You don't like Neil, you didn't like McGrattan. Good Grief!!

Thanks for the post though, come back again!!

I'm a Red Wings fan. If you can't play, then you can't fight. When you can't fight and play (see: McGrattan), then you deserve ridicule. Especially when you're in cahoots with McGrattan.

Redwing19: LSU next get a life. McGrattan was a fan favourite in Ottawa and rightfully so - took Domi and Tucker to the cleaners more often than you can count. Good on you Brian - glad to see you back!

Wait, refresh my memory... how many goals did McGrattan get?

Just because people were blind enough to ignore his lack of talent doesn't mean I have to.
