If you're like me, and you hate the Florida Gators, the top dog, or someone who is in a position of power talking stupid (think of W) then this video is great.  Just a little info: her name is Corrine Brown from the House of Representatives for Florida's 3rd congressional district. (It's the district that contains Gainesville and Jacksonville, how about that?)  Click here for the link to the picture of Florida's 3rd congressional district (it's gerrymandering at its finest).

I know that politicians are dumb, but I couldn't refrain from hatin on the Gators.

YIKES! That was an elected official of our great government. Lord help us all.

How 'Bout ' Em, you have worked overtime finding this clip, and you get kudos for that. Reminds me of that fuss that congresswoman raised in Washington some time ago, can't remember what her beef was (something about not wanting to go through metal detectors???), but when she was talking on TV, it was just sad to see...

I actually have to give credit to my friend Nathaniel who found it first. He scours youtube looking for political videos, and he stumbled across that little gem. (He's a dawg for the record.)

You'd think that elected officials would talk better, but I guess not.

March 19, 2009  04:47 PM ET

As a native Floridian (an endangered species if there ever was one) , I am not all that proud of this performance...have Nathaniel find me a little gem with a Georgia political counterpart, think he'd do that for me?

March 19, 2009  05:33 PM ET

That might be much harder to find.

March 20, 2009  03:58 PM ET

Aw, c'mon - give it a shot...I have a hard time believing that the great state of Georgia, immediate neighbors to the north, has not a single elected official they might think is NOT QUITE rocket scientist material?

March 20, 2009  03:59 PM ET

and isn't it nice to have our own private little blog?

March 21, 2009  10:49 AM ET

heheheh, yeah, I bet there's a video of some stupid talkin Ga official; I'll let you know if I see it. I know Sonny Purdue, Ga's Governor, was trying to take over part of Tennessee for a lake when the drought was really bad, but videos are golden.

This like our own little thread almost too.

Hey, so who do you think's gonna beat the Vols the worst this year? I'm not really sure myself, there are SOOOOO many options here...being a homer and saying UF just ain't right, so I am thinking maybe it'll be you guys. Think Richt would keep pressing the gas and go for 60 points? I know Meyer would, but that answer is too obvious, I think either Richt or Saban would do it to'em.

Your take?

Meyer and Saban have definitely built good teams, and the Vols are gonna struggle especially since they still don't have a good QB. Both of the Vols' real rivals, UF and Bama, will take Kiffin down hard. Richt will try to get the definite will by scoring 40+, but I don't think it'll come so easily considering UGA's schedule, so Meyer and Saban will definitely go for the juggular, especially after Kiffin's remarks about UF cheating.

*try to get the definite win

I figured with the history of nastiness between UT and Bama, along with the downright orneriness of Saban, that he'd be the one to run it up the most, even with arguably a lesser team than UF.

But if I take off my orange-and-blue-colored glasses, Meyer has shown a nasty streak himself with the timeouts against you guys, which to me really was poor sportsmanship, no matter what kind of endzone antics happened in prior games. Meyer might just run it up a ton himself. It'll be interesting to see what happens...

It sure will. This is why I love college football.

Let's be fair about the implication... Congresswoman Brown attended the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree.

She also received a Master's Degree and an Education Specialist Degree from the University of Florida (which obviously was unable to negate the affects of her FAMU education).

Thank God for that UF degree. Can you imagine the difficulty in understanding what she tried to communicate on the floor of the House had she gotten that Education Specialist Degree from FSU or Georgia?

You just blew my mind.

Corrine Brown is not the representative for the University of Florida, Cliff Stearns is. He represents most of Gainesville. Look it up, or dont...whatever

I did look it up, and it's one of the most convoluded districts I've seen. It seems to be a district that has some Gainesville and Jacksonville in it. So...... whatever.
