Well there are alot of unfair things in life and this is just another. A comparison of Steeler receiver Lynn Swann to Cowboy receivers Drew Pearson and Tony Hill shows that to be true. You can clearly see that both receivers had many more yards then Swann did. They basically had the same average per catch and they had about the same amount of touchdowns. So what is the problem? Swann is in the Hall of Shame and the Cowboy receivers aren't. This is because we have clowns in charge of the HOF elections.
PLAYER REC. YARDS AVERAGE TOUCHDOWNS
L. Swann 336 5,462 16.3 51
T. Hill 479 7,988 16.7 51
D. Pearson 489 7,822 16.0 48
J. Stallworth 537 8,723 16.2 74
Once again Americas' Team Advocate comes through with facts that show the Cowboys don't get their due because clowns won't give it to them. Hey maybe the clowns couldn't subtract and figure out that both Dallas' receivers had well over 2,000 yards receiving more then Swann!? In fact both receivers' numbers match up well with Stallworth whos also in the Hall. Stallworth had better numbers but not that much better. My next blog will show that no less then 16 players have no business being in the Hall including Joe Namath. I'll give you their stats and you make your decision! For those of you who think my numbers are wrong, go to www.pro-football-reference.com and type in the players name. Bingo, you'll find that the media are a a bunch of incompetent fools.

Wow!!!!! I cant believe Pearson isnt in the HOF!............he was a difference maker......one of the catalyst on a team that was in the play offs .....I believe every year that he played. Considering how well the Cowboys did from about 1965-1985.......play offs all but 1 or 2 of those years.....they obviously werent getting top draft choices (except for the ones they traded for). So the Cowboys had to rely on smarts from the players to the team president. They had several core players that were unreplaceable for the cohesion of such a young team. Pearson was one of those players that, because of his mental as well as athletic aptitude was a crutch when the Cowboys needed one and a star when they were flying hi. He would have been a #1 receiver on any team in the NFL including the Cowboys and the Steelers. The fact that he is not in the HOF is almost comical. If I hadnt found this post while looking at several team and player stats I would have continued to believe that he was in the HOF, (just as I assumed that Swann was). Oh.......by the way...........Steeler fans?......take note that in Super Bowl 10 when the Steel Curtain was led by Jack Lambert (argueably one of the dirties players in history), they werent called for 1 single pentalty all day. Does that sound like a legitimate deal to you?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So.........loosen up a little Steeler fan, be glad that when you played in an era where one of the better teams in football had a 20 year winning streak, and the refs wouldnt call a penalty againts you in the Biggest Game, be glad that you have those Bowl wins in games that could have gone either way. And be glade that you have some former players in the HOF who obviously arent any better than a lot of players that arent.
