Pro Bowl and Home Run Derby | NEsportsfan27's Blog

The Pro Bowl is not an interesting game to me. Players do not want to attend and why take the risk of getting injured in a game that doesn't matter. Nobody watches this game and there is no point to it. Here are my ways of making it better.

-Get it out of Hawaii! There are no teams in Hawaii. They should put it in the same city the Superbowl is in.

-(I got this one from 1st and 10 and I believe it is a great idea) Make it a Pro Bowl Weekend with skills contests and have the Hall of Fame inductions on the same weekend. The contests can be an obstacle course, throwing the ball as far as you can (both on one knee and on your feet), passing accuracy while on the run, and catching balls from multiple throwing machines.

Now to the Home Run Derby. The Derby is very boring and drawn out. Here are my ways to improve it:

-Make it shorter (obviously). Change it to maybe 5 outs per at bat.

-Make a prize so that more players will accept. I am sick of some of the best hitters in the league declining and offer to play in the Derby.

-Do not count total homeruns for the second round. Make it who can hit the most each round, don't let them crank a bunch in the first then rest in the second.

Please comment with ideas and I will consider adding them.

The pro bowl is played in Hawaii because most of the players that do go also use the time for vaction. You brought up the best point, why would players want to play in these games when they have the chance to hurt themselfs and then not be able to play??? How would you feel if the best player on your team got hurt and either missed the rest of the season or the flowing season. Do you remember the baseball deal last year when all the players had a bad first half that helped out their home country???? I would love to see the best players play but we will not see that anymore......
