I was just watching the start of the All-Star game, and tuned in just in time to catch the NL reserves. Dang! Did anyone see how Chris Young towered over Pujols? Pujols is 6-3. Do you know how tall you have to be to tower over him? 6-10 apparently. Chris Young is huge. Now I mostly follow the AL, so I'll admit a gap in my baseball knowledge, I didn'y really know who this guy was (except for the fight), so I looked up some of his stats. From what I can tell, he is sick!
What that struck me the most was his 1.06 WH/IP this season and a 1.17 one over his career!
But outside of the MLB, he's had a pretty good sports life, he went to Highland Park High, which is consistently ranked a top school both by Sports Illustrated, but also by Newsweek's list of best public schools. After high school he attended Princeton. I guess his degree's paying off if he just got a 14.5 mil contract extenstion.
Well, i'm off to watch the game, and hopefully i'll be drinking throughout
