With the Giants cutting ties with Plaxico Burress, look for them to come knocking on the door of the Cleveland Browns Facility in Berea, OH to revisit a trade for Braylon Edwards.

A few weeks back a deal for Edwards was in the works with the Browns receiving 2nd & 5th round picks and either WRs Hixon or Manningham. Look for the deal to get better. Probably a 2nd & 3rd and either WRs Hixon, Manningham, or even Steve Smith (who the Browns really want) will be the possible new and improved deal to give Eli Manning a new #1 WR.

Right now you are probably wondering why not Boldin to the Giants? Because the Cardinals already said they would want two 1st round picks in exchange for their Pro Bowler. Plus, Boldin already stated he wants to play in Florida.

Getting back to the Braylon Edwards to the Giants trade, look for it to happen either before, or perhaps even on draft day.

What's that you say? Braylon Edwards drops too many passes. All he really needs is a coach who can keep Edwards head in the game, and Coughlin is the coach to do that (Romeo Crennel was NOT the coach to do that). Eli Manning throwing the ball to Edwards does nothing but help the situation too.

A Braylon Edwards to the Giants trade is not that all far-fetched. The Browns are apparently already gearing up to pick Michael Crabtree at #5, so it looks like they may be cutting their ties with Braylon Edwards sooner than later.

Today (4-3-09) on Sirius NFL Radio, they had their mock draft, and Crabtree was the Browns pick at 5. Also, in a chat today on nfl.com, Charles Davis stated that the Browns have gone from focusing on defense with the #5 pick, to changing their focus to offense with the #5 pick. Charley Casserly even has the Browns selecting Crabtree with the #5 pick and the video is currently posted at nfl.com.

It's looking like the gears are starting to turn and Edwards days as a Cleveland Brown are over.

I think this might happen sooner rather than later ... GM Jerry Reese isn't an idiot and he knows the Giant's have very few needs and more than enough picks to make this happen. If he didn't think he could fill that void then they wouldn't have cut Burress and Edwards might actually be an upgrade over Burress due to his age and speed. The G-Men will get their man and I think the trade might even be in the next week because a rookie isn't gonna step in and get it done this year and they have as good a chance as any team in the league to win it all ... right now.

cleveland fan here please trade for braylon NY he wont let you down like he did us last year it was a fluke leading the league in DROP passes . I thank he'll do great with all that media pressure on him ! I mean as long as its not Ohio State fans ! get ready to pay the ransom though ! OR .......................................Torry TD Holt and save your picks makes better sense . the giants time is now and holt manning would work plus he's a high character guy .

Torry Holt is no longer a #1 WR, which is what the Giants need.
