It's that time of year again, kids, which means it's time for me to make my predictions for the 2009 MLB Season.

First, my projected standings:

AL East - A three horse race, but who will win, place, and show?
1. Red Sox
2. Yankees
3. Rays
4. Blue Jays
5. Orioles

AL Central - A crapshoot, any of the 5 teams has a shot at this one.
1. Indians
2. Twins
3. Royals
4. White Sox
5. Tigers

AL West - One clearcut favorite, almost by default, but maybe another team will make a run.
1. Angels
2. Athletics
3. Rangers
4. Mariners

AL Wild Card - As close a race as any other.
1. Yankees
2. Rays
3. Twins
4. Royals

NL East - Top four are a lot closer than people realize.
1. Mets
2. Braves
3. Phillies
4. Marlins
5. Nationals

NL Central - After the clear favorite, the rest is wide open.
1. Cubs
2. Cardinals
3. Astros
4. Brewers
5. Pirates
6. Reds

NL West - A good veteran team and a good young team battle for the top spot.
1. Diamondbacks
2. Dodgers
3. Rockies
4. Giants
5. Padres

NL Wild Card - Maybe a surprise. Then again, maybe not.
1. Dodgers
2. Braves
3. Phillies
4. Cardinals

ALDS
Red Sox over Indians
Yankees over Angels

NLDS 
Mets over Dodgers
Diamondbacks over Cubs

ALCS 
Red Sox over Yankees

NLCS 
Mets over Diamondbacks

World Series 
Red Sox over Mets

AL Cy Young 
3. Josh Beckett, RHP, Boston Red Sox
