I've received a handful of emails asking where the blog went, so here is the truth.

I've decided to concentrate on the improvement of my own game for awhile rather than simply discuss poker here.  It seems a lot of what I was saying here was getting in the way of my own playing abilities.

So I decided to take a break.  Meanwhile I've gone back to the books.

I'm currently knee deep in Doyle Brunson's Super System 2.  I'm going to concentrate on the No Limit Hold Em and Omaha Hi-Lo chapters, plus the first few chapters which are simply a great foundation.

From there, I'm going to go back and read Phil Gordon's Little Green/Blue/Black books.  Again, great foundation.

From there, I'm moving on to Harrington on Hold Em, I and II. 

I do not plan on playing any cash games for the next month, unless they include Omaha Hi-Lo.  My goal is to improve my overall tournament game play.  I've got a solid foundation to my game, and I cash far more often than the average player.   However, I still have a small fuse in my brain that blows occasionally, causing faulty decision making.  Mainly, it causes me to CALL. 

Remember, Raise...Fold...Call.  That's the decision tree.  But for some reason I tend to just call and see what will happen.  And it has CRUSHED me twice in the last week.  I'm bound and determined to fix this.

I started it this past Sunday, taking 2nd in the 22 person WSOP qualifier we have going. 

From 23-27 Apr, I will be in Las Vegas with some friends.  I plan to concentrate there on tournament play too.  Look for regular updates from that trip.

 Lastly, some folks have asked about the "mastermind" group I was forming.  As usually, the foundation of it takes time.  I expected some changes, and I see they are coming.  There are two active members, and two not so active.  No problem.  We'll keep tweaking til we get it right.
