As a loyal Bronco fan of some more than 30 years or so, I want to ask Bronco Nation er ... sorry "Bronco Country" your opinions on our new coach.  Josh McDaniels for me started out very impressive and very intelligent in the beginning, but as we all saw with the "Jay Cutler Situation" he has his flaws!  Number 1.  You don't come in and as a "Rookie" Coach and antagonize the Franchise quarterback of your new team and run him out of town without having a better solution at quarterback!  Now, before you'll get you panties in a bunch let me explain that I understand that you don't make "Any" player to be above the "Team" concept-Patriot Way.  The city of Denver and Bronco fans across the world have been waiting for the 'Next' Elway and we thought we had that in Jay Cutler, but it turned out that Jay's talent did not make him "Mature or Wise" beyond his years...he acted his age.  Number 2.  Josh McDaniels is only 32 years old and is still a youngster himself, but he can make up for that huge mistake by having a "Monster Draft" that will strengthen our football team for years to come.  First Day picks will have to be "ALL" Defense and maybe all the draft picks will have to be "Defense" for this team to "Turn it Around" in a hurry!  Josh, if you pick a Q.B. it better be in the late rounds, because we want Ray Mauluga, Laurinautis, Orackpo and B.J. Rahji or names with similar quality and impact for "Our" Team!  You see Josh, You maybe the "Coach", but don't forget this is OUR TEAM, Sincerely Broncos Country!

I will agree with you that mchoodie has really shown his wet behind the ears mentality with the whole Jay Saga. I am one of those fans that still believes in Jay, I saw a lot of similarities between Elway and Cutler. Guess we will never know. As far as the draft, I will simply use a statement from one of my co-workers, if they draft a quarterback in the first round, I am just going to dump my season tickets and shop another team. I mean come on, Orton fits mchoodie's system just fine. He is a don't make a mistake quarterback and showed that in Chicago. As far as drafting a running back, please. We signed how many, like 20 running backs? WE NEED DEFENSE! Offense wins games but Defense wins championships. If mdidiot wants to keep his job longer than two years, he should fix what is really wrong with this team and stop messing with what was working for us last year. My final thought is I understand he is a belichek desciple, but this is not New England. You are in Denver now, so take us back to the days of the orange crush and maybe we as fans will give you another chance.

ok first off, I do NOT NOT NOT NOT want Mauluga, the guy was WAY overrated, showed up to the combine overweight, and from what I heard was NOT a good teammate. I really think Laurinautis could be a superstar, but I fear that if he is projected in the 20's then he will get passed over.

As for trusting the coach, well when the coaching staff at New England took over Ty Law was "the franchise" and they ran him out... they took all kinds of flack over that move (even lost to him in week one), but we see how that worked out... so for now I'm keeping hopes high until it is proved otherwise ON THE FIELD!

Yeah guys, If McHoodie takes us back to the playoffs and we win at least one playoff game then I'll give him a chance...

you say that now, but all it would take is about a 4-1 start and people would start coming around

Bronco Nation,
As I've said before, your problem is not the coach and it wasn't Jay. You may not have like how he acted, but he wasn't the problem. The person at fault is your owner, Pat Bolwen. It appears that he waited too long to jump in and resolve the problem. He had the absolute final say and should've exercised it and forced the situation to be solved. There still isn't anything in this entire situation that warranted a trade-I didn't hear anything. If anyone learned anything, I hope he did because it appeared he couldn't stop the ship from sinking. True, no player is above a team, but it's also true that you better be careful what you ask for because you just might get it and I don't mean Jay.

good points Vee, the owner was absolutely totally demented to have let that situation get out of control like that. Pat Bowlen said he would never let another coach have as much control as Shanahan had, but he turned around and gave it all away to McDaniels again...
