I have been starting to get more and more confident about the Broncos' picks, after I was screaming at the T.V. over the weekend. Well, this article from Rick Reilly has brought me back to reality:

"'How arrogant can Josh McDaniels be?'

The Denver Broncos' 33-year-old Boy Blunder boasted this week that his draft board had fewer than 100 names on it, which made it easy for him to make his picks. Less than a hundred names when 256 players were drafted? Most boards had 500-plus names on them! Furthermore, he said the Broncos had worked out nearly 30 players and all 10 of his choices were among those 30. In other words, "I'm not capable of making a mistake. If I didn't work the guy out, the guy wasn't good enough. Period." This is the same genius who traded one of Denver's first-round choices in 2010 to move up in the second round to take a 5'9'' defensive back???Alphonso Smith. To repeat: Boy Blunder used a first to take a second. And if the Broncos are going to be as lame as I think they're going to be???4-12 perhaps???that first-round pick will be very high. McDaniels is the worst combination of things: Terribly na??ve and doubly confident. Bronco fans, you're screwed."

What if we really do end up 4-12? For all you non-doubters, it's a true possibility. This is either going to be a fantastic season or Josh McDaniels will be a captain of a shipwreck. As Mel Kiper says, it's gonna be either a Boom or Bust, there probably isn't gonna be any grey areas this year. And the Broncos better hope an pray Alphonso Smith pays off, and that their season doesn't end up being a total disaster, or they'll be kicking themselves for years to come.

first of all, Rick Reilly has always been a Broncos basher. Even though he has some local connections it's almost as if he hates it here, So you gotta take everything he says with a grain of salt. i believe, McHoodie has some masterplan that we are not all privy on and his record will speak for it self at the end of this year and the next couple of years...

I'm freakin pumped. I been drinkin Green Tea all day.
Coach McD only has to improve the D a little and we will be happy. His system will keep the Offense in in the Top tier even w/o Cutler

Reilly is so RIGHT! It's embarrasing to have a coach who THINKS he knows it all and more embarrasing to look up to the Bengals to see what a good draft is!!! McDaniels tenure will be short-lived because of his audacity and they way he believes he KNOWS more about football than anyone else in Colorado! Trading both third round picks for a blocking tightend that was rated a sixth rounder?!?! ADIOS McOnly100 on my draft board!!!
