1 Year On FN | nymetsnumber1's Blog

One year ago, I found myself sitting in front of a computer. I was bored. I remembered that my friends at school (Ny and YN) told me about this website called Fannation. I wasn't going to try it out. But, I was bored, so what the heck.

As soon as I created my account, I started browsing through FN. I was amazed at all I could do; throwdowns, blog, join groups, etc. I couldn't wait!

As many newbies are, I was a little too excited to start on my FN journey. I created 4 tds that day, on topics which already guaranteed me a loss. After I got used to the site after a couple of days, I saw that FN wasn't as good as I thought it was on my first day.

I saw users create tds with stupid topics, to say the least. And, nobody was doing anything about it. I soon learned that some users, such as Cassidy, were causing chaos on FN. I guess I should have known that the site couldn't be perfect.

I have been on the site for a year now. I've been through some of FN's up and downs. I'm glad to say I am proud I stayed active on the site. After a year, I'm glad that FN finally has a Mod (Red Hat).

Here are some who have made my journey a blast from the start:

Ny- Intoduced me to the site. Without him, there would be no Mets Fan.

YN- Also introduced me to FN. An early friend, don't know where you went and hope you return to FN.

Coltslaxer- I knew we were FN buds right from the start. Hope you come back soon.

Terpsfan- My FN humor buddy and fellow Terps fan.

GoodMan- One of the only FN friends that I can talk Tennis with. Hope you come back.

TheSportsGuy- I don't know how it happened. Right when I started on the site, you were one of the first comments. I'm glad you are my FN buddy.

There are many more of you who made it happen. If you know who you are, I thank you and let's continue the ride.

Glad to see people are still sticking around, even with all of the chaos that other users cause. Congrats on the one year and thanks for being a sociable user on Fannation.
