The Philadelphia 76ers had a struggling season last year. They picked Thaddeus Young who was a surprise pick at the time and alot of Philly didn't approve of the pick. However, the city of Brotherly Love has caught on to Billy King's plan for success. Mr. King was ranked as the 3rd best GM in all of sports by Forbes.com and most of Phildelphia had a hard time agreeing. If you look at last year's record the 35-47 record and no playoff appearence doesnt seem so great. But, if you take the fact the Sixers played more like a team after trading Allen Iverson, King actually might know what he's talking about. Andre Miller is playing the point and is a decent playmaker. Philly was surprised to have the point guard come up and pass the ball after aquiring Miller. The "other" AI, Andre Igoudala, continues to just perform and increase his skills night after night, season by season. Thaddeus Young is devolping and probally wont see much court time but could be a decent role player for the Sixers like Daniel Gibson was for the Cavs. Kyle Korver has always been a role player and always will. Not too much of a bad thing considering his efficient 3-point shooting. Kevin Ollie is a good, expierenced leader for the Sixers and will see a little playing time whenever Andre Miller needs a breather. Samuel Dalembert isnt exactly a force in the low post but does get the job done defensively. Steven Hunter will most likely be playing the PF and help trying to establish a "post presence." Rodney Carney and Louis Williams are two young players looking for playing time, and in the meaningless games last season, showed that they can play. Along the way, Mo Cheeks will gain more knowledge of coaching in the NBA to help the Sixers out even more. The Sixers just have to wait until these young, aspiring players can develop their game and expierence on this level and then, look for the 76ers to be big time Eastern Conference contenders.

youre too optimistic man about this team. Id love to think we are gona be good, but i would say were a bottom 5 team in the NBA right now. If I were billy, i would trade andre miller for cap space. Start louis williams, iggy, Thad, j.smith and Dalembert. We need to see if Louis can handle the 1 so if/when we suck this year, we know if we need draft one of the 10 stud PGs coming out next year. We might as well play the young guys to see what they can do. Carney and Korver can be the scorers off the bench. Trade Willie for anything to a team that needs a scoring 2 off the bench. With louis, iggy, carney, thad and korver, doesnt leave much room for Willie. In carney, i dont see much of an nba starter but i can see him be an excellent 6th man in the mold of what stackhouse, ironically, is doing for dallas right now. Next years FA agency will be amazing, and if we can clear andre miller's and Willie's contract, we can make a big time run at Elton Brand, draft a stud PG, and were on our way, assuming we resign Iggy to around 6years, 50-60mill.
