It is always hard to talk as guy would talk on SI because they want to tend to censor those who make their site better with interesting rants so here goes... Malkin do you have a pair... if not grow one... cause Ovenchin is making it very clear why he was the first pick and you were second. It is painful watching you play sometimes because you seem to disappear. You have two real weaknesses to your game that limit you big time. The first is you refuse to play a physical game. You are a big kid and if you just hit the wieghts a little you could dominate this league but too often you chose the soft play over the hard one.
However this is not your biggest weakness. That is your inability to win faceoffs. For you to be successful your team needs the puck. Too often on your shifts you lose the faceoff and then have to chase the other team around for the puck and by the time you get it, you don't have the gas in the tank to score a goal.

Until Malkin can learn to play without the puck as well as he does with it... he'll be an overpaid regular season player best sent to Ottawa for cap room.

The thing is Malkin has talent coming out of his you no what but he lacks the iron will of both Ovechkin and Crosby. I guess that is what makes one player a superstar and the other a star. I have never been a real Crosby fan but he clearly wanted it more in this series than Malkin did. The interesting test will come in the finals if they play Detroit. The Penguins are not as good as they were last year. However Crosby is a better player this year. It will be fun to watch if both teams make it.
