Current Players Only
Starters:
Point Guard - Steve Nash - Amazing passer, great ball handling skills, and the two time MVP, who was the first player since Magic Johnson to average 18 points and 11 assists in the same season.
Shooting Guard - Kobe Bryant - Kobe is arguably the best player in the league and probably the best scorer in the league. He complains a lot off the field, but he is a fierce competitor.
Small Forward - LeBron James - LeBron is also arguably the best player in the league and he led his team to the Finals, where he was sweeped by the best team this decade, the San Antonio Spurs.
Power Forward - Tim Duncan - Four championship rings, 3 Finals MVPs, two time MVP, ten All-NBA team selections, ten All-Defensive team selections, and a nine time All-Star. Tim Duncan was also rookie of the year in 1998.
Center - Dirk Nowitzki - The small forward/power forward/center was last seasons MVP, beating out Nash. Dirk led the Mavericks to a 67-15 record, but they were knocked out of the playoffs in a HUGE upset in the first round.
Bench:
Point Guard - Tony Parker - Helped lead the Spurs to a Finals sweep of Lebron's Cavaliers and two other NBA Championships. Tony was the Finals MVP last year and is a two time All-Star.
Shooting Guard - Dwyane Wade - Led the Heat, along with Shaq, to a Championship before Lebron and Melo. He is a tough, selfless player who is constantly giving up his body for the team.
Small Forward - Carmelo Anthony - He led the NBA in scoring for a good portion of last season. Last season Melo improved his points per game and assists per game. He also had 6 rebounds per game.
Power Forward - Kevin Garnett - Had the one of the best seasons of his career in 2006-2007. He has never had a supporting cast that was really skilled and has never led the Timberwolves to anything because of that.
Center - Amare Stoudemire - STAT made a successful recovery and had a good season where he averaged 20.4 points per game and he helped Nash lead the Suns to the Western Conference Finals.
Rookies
Starters:
Point Guard - Mike Conley Jr. - Mike will mostly likely be a starter right off the bat adn he can see the court very well while being capable of getting to the bucket, but both of these stats will obviously drop while he transitions.
Shooting Guard - Morris Almond - Almond meets the needs of the Jazz perfectly and he is NBA ready. Morris can work off of the screen and can lose defenders in other ways. He is a decent rebounder for a shooting guard and he can shoot as soon as the ball comes into his hands.
Small Forward - Kevin Durant - Kevin should be a starter now that Rashard Lewis is definitely not returning. Do you know what this means? This means that Durant will most likely be rookie of the year and he will be a scoring machine. He just needs the get stronger and he will be a force.
Power Forward - Blen "Big Baby" Davis - The Celtics are lacking big men down low which means Davis will get a large amount of minutes which is the only reason he is on this team. If the Celtics had big men available then he would be on the bench or not on the team at all.
Center - Greg Oden - Oden is the starter at center and sure he's having his **** handed to him in Summer League, but he had swollen tonsils and who cares about the Summer League? The Summer League is like when your best friend is like "Hey, I am getting back together with my ex!" and you really don't care so your just like "Oh...uhh..great."
Bench:
Point Guard:
Point guard - Acie Law IV - Acie Law will be second to Sppedy Claxton, but he will get good time and Joe Johnson will get most of the attention by defenses, therefore Acie will have open shots.
Shooting Guard - Marco Belinelli - Marco is a great shooter. He reminds me of Ray Allen, he is a shooter, he is mature, and very athletic. He has good work ethic and is surprisingly coachable for a player under 20.
Small Forward - Corey Brewer - Corey will be overshadowed by Kevin Garnett, obviously, but he will be capable of having above average stats for a rookie. He will also most likely be a solid defender.
Power Forward - Julian Wright - Wright will energize New Orleans and be a good defensive player. If Desmond Mason doesn't come back he will be the starter considering he just has to outplay Rasual Butler.
Center - Al Horford - Al will most liely beat out Shelden Williams for the starting job at center. He will be a good rebounder and scorer and will rake good stats for a rookie.
