It seems there is another player in the 'Battle for Seven' here in Southern Ontario..., The Atlanta Thrashers. Yeah..., Atlanta. A group headed up by Tom Gaglardi from Vancouver,has interest in moving them to Hamilton, a move which has me kind of wondering what Balsillie thinks right now. After all, this billionaire has tried to buy the Pens and the Preds and is now in hot water over the Coyotes situation, in which he is totally out of line in doing. First the Coyotes 'owner' filed for Chapter 11, then Balsillie on the SAME DAY threw $212 million at the league for the team on the condition he can move the franchise to Hamilton! And now it's gotten so bad that its gone to court..., absolutely nuts! This guy says it's his dream to have another team in Southern Ontario..., and yeah it would be cool but do it the right way! The league owns the Coyotes..., they've been paying the bills for months and what Moyes did was wrong by filing for Chapter 11,that should've been done by the league itself if necessary. This situation is just leading to a dogfight in court and if they play it smart..., Gaglardi could swoop right in,get the lease on Copps and move the Thrashers north. At least then, I'll be able to see Kovalchuk more than twice a year..., and leave Mr. Blackberry in the dust with his $212 million, ready to try to buy another team next season.
