Regarding cheap shots, how is it that the Bruin's Ward drops his hands not wanting to fight, gets hit and will likely be out a game, and there is no suspension levied against the 'Canes. If there was no harm done (i.e. it was not a cheap shot), how come there was a fine? The fine shows that it was considered a cheap shot. Now, the B's loose a defenseman (likely) for at least a game, and the 'Canes loose nobody. If I were a coach, I'd be sending my bruisers out to kick some butt, because paying $2500 is nothing compared to having a defensive star like Ward playing. Look at the B's record earlier in the season without Ward (about .500) Losing Ward could mean loosing the opportunity for a Cup this year. Nice message you're sending commissioner! Keep up the good work...

If anyone would have thrown that punch, even Bruins, I would say at least a one game suspension. Weak on the NHL's part. One eyed hockey is the future, I guess.
