The title of my blog probably made a few of you wonder what the heck was going on. The point of my blog, is to get a reaction based on steroids and star players in football.

Basically, how would the league and us as fans react if someone like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning were to be busted using HGH or even something like Clomid? Would we throw the faces of the league into a pit, forever labeling them as cheaters? I don't know.

 What I do know is the fact that steroids in baseball are way more publicized and disciplined than they are in the NFL. Shawn Merriman gets caught using them and he gets only a four game suspension and still gets votes for Defensive Player of the Year!!! Why are we so quick to say Manny Ramirez, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, etc. shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame, but Merriman's incident is all but forgotten?

 If it is a disliked player caught, the book gets thrown at him, the media are all over them, etc. Even a guy like Percy Harvin gets busted with more of a performance DE-hancer in marijuana, and everybody is worried about character issues and the media hates him. Where was that type of reaction to Merriman or Rodney Harrison?

 While I believe Harrison was using HGH to recover more timely from his injury at his age, I also believe Merriman was going for a competitive advantage. There is my bias, I am a Patriots fan. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is biased for my team when a player on it gets caught.

 Sorry for ranting and getting off topic a little, but what happens if Brady, Manning, LT or Big Ben get busted using steroids? What will the reaction by the media, fans, and players' teams be? We know the NFL will give the suspension and fine, but what about the rest, what about their legacy?
