The 30 year old rookie has been clutch for the Angels this season.
The Angesl rotation has been decimated by injuries, and Palmer was forced into the rotation and has made the most of this opportunity.
Palmer is 5-0 with an ERA of 4.26. His WHIP is 1.14 and opponents are hitting .198 off him, both are fantastic marks. He has a Complete game and has averaged 6 1/3 innings an outing. It's not like he's been going up against softy line-ups either, here are the teams he has faced:
Mariners
Red Sox
Yankees
Royals
Tigers
3 of those 5 teams rank in the top 12 (all of MLB) in runs scored, 3 of those teams rank in the top 12 in HR's and 3 of those teams rank in the top 12 in BA.
There are rookies that get more publicity than Palmer, but how many have out performed him?

Daniella Sarahyba
Chelsey Buhler
