Ok guys, I have made a simulated draft pick of All time greatest baseball players and have 8 teams with 17 players each and a manager and 2 coaches. I will be simulating games in a 5 game series between these 8 games which will lead up to an All Time Greatest Team World Series. So I need your help with voting for who you think would win each of the games. I will list the teams playing each other with the coaching staff and players and if you could just vote for which team you think would win and in how many games I would appreciate it a lot guys. This is Round 1 of 3 and this Round has 4 series of 5 games. Team names have no significance other than the teams home field. The series work out like a regular ALDS or NLDS. There is a DH for all games. Games 1, 2 and 5 are at the left team's ball park and games 3 and 4 are at the right team's ballpark.

Here it goes:

Series 1- Yankees vs White Sox

Yankees- Manager and coaches- Casey Stengel, Tony Larussa and Billy Martin

               Starters-  Yogi Berra, Paul Molitor, Rogers Hornsby, Earnie Banks, Alex Rodriguez, Al Simmons, Mickey Mantle, Tony Gwynn and Sam Rice

               Pitchers- Satchel Paige, Whitey Ford, Nolan Ryan, Red Ruffin. Bullpen- Dennis Eckersly and Billy Wagner

               Bench- Jeff Bagwell and Willie Stargell

White Sox- Managers and coaches- Sparky Anderson, Tommy Lasorda and Billy Carrigan

                   Starters- Johnny Bench, Lou Gehrig, Nap Lajoie, Ozzie Smith, Jimmy Collins, Jim O'Rourke, Hugh Duffy, Reggie Jackson and Pete Rose

                   Pitchers- Walter Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Tom Glavine, Eddie Plank. Bullpen- Rollie Fingers and Eric Gagne.

                    Bench- Rickey Henderson and Al Kaline

 

Series 2- Red Sox vs Phillies

Red Sox- Manager and coaches- Joe McCarthy, Earl Weaver and Dick Howser

                Starters- Gary Carter, Willie McCovey, Craig Biggio, Cal Ripken Jr, Brooks Robinson, Lou Brock, Tris Speaker, Frank Robinson and George Sisler

                 Pitchers- Randy Johnson, Bob Gibson, Carl Hubbell, Catfish Hunter. Bullpen- Bruce Sutter and Mike Timlin.

                 Bench- Gary Sheffield and Ichiro Suzuki

Phillies- Manager and coaches- Miller Huggins, Dick Williams and Whitey Herzog

              Starters- Mickey Cochrane, Albert Pujols, Charles Gehringer, Phil Rizzuto, Eddie Mathews, Barry Bonds, Duke Snider, Babe Ruth, Ken Griffey Jr

               Pitchers- Sandy Koufax, Kid Nichols, Gaylord Perry, Bob Feller. Bullpen- Hoyt Wilhelm and Goose Gossage.

               Bench- Harry Heilman and Mark McGwire

 

Series 3- Braves vs Giants

Braves- Manager and coaches- Connie Mack, Bobby Cox and Tom Kelly

Series 4- Pirates vs Cubs

Pirates- Manager and coaches- Walt Alston, Bucky Harris and Danny Murtaugh

              Starters- Roy Campanella, Jimmie Foxx, Rod Carew, Robin Yount, Wade Boggs, Billy Hamilton, Ted Williams, Mel Ott, Ed Delahanty

              Pitchers- Warren Spahn, Grover Alexander, Phil Niekro, Roy Halladay. Bullpen- Lee Smith and John Franco

              Bench- Frank Thomas and Kirby Puckett

Cubs- Manager and coaches- Joe Torre, Frank Chance and Bill McKenchie

          Starters- Ivan Rodriguez, Eddie Murray, Joe Morgan, Derek Jeter, Mike Schmidt, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Roberto Clemente, Ralph Kiner

           Pitchers- Roger Clemens, Tom Seaver, Lefty Grove, Curt Schilling. Bullpen- Mariano Rivera and Jeff Reardon

           Bench- Roger Connor and Hank Greenberg

 

 

 

Ok so again guys, out of these 4 matchups could you please vote for who you think would come out on top in a 5 game series and in how many games for each of the 4 matchups. You could just post your votes in the comments section below and I will add it all up in a week or so and then post a Round 2 voting for the teams that you chose to win.
