The lights are slowly dimming on another potential great Cleveland sports team, once again. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 1 loss away from being eliminated from the NBA '08-'09 playoffs. The team with the best record in the NBA during the regular season has to win 3 straight games (2 at home and 1 away) to advance to the NBA Finals, and at this point and time it seems highly unlikely that's going to happen; even with the best b-ball player on the planet playing on their team, the Cavs have a huge mountain to climb. Smart money says they'll probably win game 5 at home (with the help of the referees and David Stern--wink wink!) but come game 6 back in Orlando, Black-Out on the Cavalier season, for real!
It makes u wonder what the city that 'rocks and rolls' did in its sports past to deserve such pain and misery. The Browns, Indians and now the Cavs have all been on the brink of Championship Glory, teasing the city of cleveland and its loyal fanbase, only to lose it right at the end, and when I say 'lose it', I mean lose it in gut-wrenching fashion.
If you're from Cleveland or happen to be a fan of any of the professional teams, you know what its like to go home with 'Blue Balls' at the end of every season; you get worked during the season, ready to release during the postseason but all u really get is a kiss on the cheek and a cold hand(*ob)shake...
...one day Cleveland will be basking in the glow of championship-dom, right? anybody? god? jesus? buddha? O.J.? somebody help Cleveland, Pleeeeease!

It would be nice to say that the city of Cleveland and the sports genre in itself will recover from this devastating series loss to the Magic but I don't see it happening...Cleveland sports will forever be the bridesmaid!
