As I write this, the Nuggets and Lakers are about twenty minutes away from Game 5. Seems like Denver is not ready to fold up and go away.
I usually like to listen to Colin Cowherd on the radio. I believe he makes good points about why such and such happen to this team and maybe not the other. Well, he was making a pretty good one as to why the Lakers were having so much trouble with the Nuggets. Mainly, it's just that they wasted games, particularly against the Houston Rockets. Instead of putting away the Rockets early particularly when Yao Ming sustained his injury that ended his season, they allowed the Rockets to take them to seven.
And what happened with Denver? They put away the Mavs in five. (I guess Dirk really needed to get back home to see if Crystal (Krystal?) whisked away the big-screen.).
Now, they are basically worn out because of that. That was pretty evident after LA's victory in Game 3. . . seeing Kobe bent over in exhaustion as he was being interviewed. I myself thought he was just faking that just to heighten the drama. After all, LA is the land of actors. Boiled down, Nuggets are fresher; and they seem to want the series more. They're probably tired of being the Detroit Lions of the NBA (notice they even have the same color uniforms).
May even be the Nuggets just have the better talent at this point overall. With the exception of Bryant and Gasol, who else does LA have to count on. Let me know LA fans, but keep it clean. I'm your boogie man.
Read in the paper today about Jerry Jones' new football temple. The article stated that Jones "cut no corners" in having it built. My response is: I hope not. Don't want that behemoth collapsing on and killing thousands as what happened with their practice tent at Valley Ranch. Yep, hope he didn't hire the same dude who built that trap.
Couple of more things: Their jumbotron, as I was reading in my local paper, is supposed to make the Dallas players look 76 ft. tall (or was it 76 yds. tall, forget which). I guess that's meant to scare future teams like the Ravens from running all over them within the last five minutes of the game. I'm lost in love, and I don't know. . .
