I'm tired of the regular old fantasy drafts. Who will be the top 10?? Manning, LT, Stephen Jackson?
How about Andrew Walter, or Charlie Frye. Yes you heard me right. I"m bucking the traditional fantasy league and starting my own below average league. Those players who get sacked, lose the ball, and the defenses who are like a broken dam deserve more attention.
TD's will be penalized, and turnovers rewarded. We will pick 3 QB's, 3 RB's, a kicker, and a defense.
Your QB gets points for INT's, fumbles, and getting sacked. He is penalized for completions and TD's and yards. You will get points for attempts though, so the more he thorws and the worse he does, the more points he will earn.
RB's are penalized for TD's, and yards. They gain points from fumbles and attempts and receptions... again the more they play and less they score the better he will do.
Kickers lose points for making field goals and extra points, and earn points by missing them.
Defenses lose points by causing turnovers, and keeping the score down. Shutouts are worth -200 pts and it is a gradual scale up to 20 points which is 0 pts and then up to where anything above 35 pts scored is 200 fantasy pts.
Obviously this is the NFL. The points are adjusted because the most starting players score more than turn the ball over. For instance a TD is -50 but a interception or fumble is 100 pts.
The Turnover League sees it's creation. If you'd like to join drop a comment to me, It's a free 8 team, points based league, so the first 7 people will get to join, and we can start drafting.
