According to FanNation's T&R, "Hulman-George family feud may provide IndyCar star Danica Patrick with the nudge she needs to jump to NASCAR. Patrick was asked about that scenario by SI.com at the Milwaukee Mile on Saturday and said stability of the racing series will factor into her decision. She is in the final year of her contract with Andretti Green Racing and has said she will look at any and all options, including a jump to NASCAR. That option didn't diminish last week as reports of strife within the Hulman-George family surfaced. Never mind that Tony George's position as Indianapolis Motor Speedway CEO seems safe for now; the turmoil raised some concerns." If I had $100 for every time I heard that Danica was coming to NASCAR, I would have enough money to get a used car.
This is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! 1) Danica has drove IRL cars her entire career, no experience in Cup, Nationwide, or any Busch North or any other series most NASCAR drivers come from. 2) What owner would take a chance on Danica? It's not going to be a big team like Rousch or Hendrick, Possibly a team like Michael Waltrip Racing or Richard Petty Motorsports. 3) Why wouldn't Danica look back at the success that all the other open wheel drivers that have switched NASCAR lately? Around 5 different drivers, and only 1 win (Juan Pablo Montoya, on a fuel mileage race). Why would she risk coming to NASCAR and not winning? Oh wait a minute, she's doing that in IRL right now!
The fact is, she is an overrated driver. 1 win in 5 seasons in IRL is not really anything to brag about, and if 3-time IRL champion Sam Hornish Jr. has yet to win in NASCAR, I seriously doubt Danica would be able to.
