Well its official...The San Francisco Forty Niners are moving from San Francisco. The complete ruining of the team is now complete under the horrendous dictatorship of Dr. Evil York. After years of playing in subpar conditions in one of the notoriously bad facilities at Candlestick, the York's did not want to rebuild in the city and used the situation as an opportunity to chase more revenue in Santa Clara, about 30-40 minutes south of the current stadium.
To their credit, the San Francisco politicos did their best to fight the evil Yorks into forcing them to stay here in the city, trying to force them to drop the city's name if they are to leave to the valley. Great measures were also taken to clear a new land in the city to redevelop the stadium and keep the team home, however, the York's do not want to stay.
Now our beloved niners are moving to the horrendous silicon valley where the traffic should be 10 times worse and the travel at least twice as long. We did need a new stadium, but moving out of the city is not exactly what I have in mind.
What do you guys say? niners moving out of SF? is this blasphemous? or is it just a sign of the times...?

I'm afraid it's a sign of the times I think. There is no money in loyalty. I miss the 80's era niners. If someone tried to move the team then there would be a riot.

My condolences, fellows. But, it could be a blessing in disguise too. A change of scenery helps out players sometimes and maybe this is what the Niners need? Change is inevitable in all things. I never thought Texas Stadium would ever bite the dust, but it has.
Now, we have the "Cowboys Stadium", although renaming it "The Jerry Jones Show" remains a good possibility. Hang in there and keep the faith. Singletary will do good for your team, I'm sure, regardless of location.
We need your team to come back up and become our rivals once again, and for both teams to put on some shows.....like they used to.

wow Bull_shirt....a sensible cowboys fan...I miss the days of our rivalry...those were the best of times for the NFL...The Boys need to get rid of Tony Simpson tho I think if they ever want to truly contend for the title, and we still dont have a general behind center...I really dont like the niners leaving sf though, I dont care if its a new stadium....santa clara sucks!
