Who will be busts, and who will be successful in this year's NBA Draft?
Many people in the NBA know the draft is important, and many fans share their opinions about who will be busts, and steals. Well, you must analyze college basketball really well to see who will be successful, and who will be bust. One of the most proud predictions I've made, was when Kwame Brown was drafted. I predicted him as a bust, and before I know it, many of my friends were calling me crazy, and stupid. Almost everyone I knew thought Kwame Brown was the next Shaq or David Robinson. Today every morning I wake up, and yell to my friends; Kwame Brown is a bust!!
So this year I decided to try this one more time. I analyze College basketball, and I feel like that it would be fun to see how good or bad my projections will be. This is my version of the 2009 NBA Draft prospects: Bust or Successful.
Successful:
Blake Griffin
Blake Griffin will be great in the NBA. He will be very dangerous inside, and defenders will have a tough time guarding him. Blake Griffin has an amazing NBA body, and a winning mentality.
Projected Average Season Stats: 18.5 PPG, 9.2 RPG, 2.7 RPG
Player Comparison: Antonio Mcdyess (before 2004)
Hasheem Thabeet
Many people will be impressed when Thabeet debuts in the NBA. He will be one of the best defensive players ever played, and will also have great offensive skills. Expect him to be a big guy, who can block as many shots as Dwight Howard.
Projected Average Season Stats: 19.0 PPG, 12.9 RPG, 1.4 APG
Player Comparison: David Robinson
James Harden
Harden had a great college season, but now can he do the same thing in the NBA? No worries, I got him as successful. Why? Because he can score offensively, and has great fundamentals. Probably the two most important things you must have to be successful.
Projected Average Season Stats: 19.9 PPG, 5.0 APG, 3.9 RPG
Player comparison: Tracy McGrady
Ty Lawson
Lawson is a true point guard, who is unselfish. He can shoot, score, and pass the ball well. He has great ball- handling skills, and great passing skills. Lawson will have a high-level productivity in his NBA Career.
Projected Average Season Stats: 17.4 PPG, 10.7 APG, 1.8 RPG
Player Comparison: T.J Ford
Gerald Henderson
Gerald Henderson has one of the best Athleticism in this year's draft. He can jump, has good stamina, and has strong intangibles. He is a great Mid-Range scorer, and has terrific defense.
Projected Average Season Stats: 20.3 PPG, 4.9 APG, 3.9 RPG
Player Comparison: Joe Johnson
Bust
Jordan Hill
Jordan Hill makes bad decision, and creates TO. He absolutely has zero-Defense fundamentals, and seems like he can't guard Man-Man. His offensive skills aren't great, but average.
Projected Average Season Stats: 5.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 0.7 APG
Player Comparison: Ronny Turiaf
Demar Derozan
Demar is a great player, but he lacks offensive skills. He doesn't shoot well from long-range, and doesn't have great ball-handling skills.
Projected Average Season Stats: 6.4 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 3.4 APG
Player Comparison: Rodney Carney
Austin Daye
When was the last time a Gonzaga player wasn't a bust? Well the history makes me think Daye is a bust. He doesn't have great strength, and he gets injured easily. He has slow shot release, so the opponents will have an easier time guarding him.
Projected Average Season Stats: 2.4 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 1.0 APG
Player Comparison: Marcus Williams
Earl Clark
Earl Clark could be either way. He is talented, has PF skills, and could be the next Josh Smith, or he could be the next Julian Wright (who can't do nothing) Clark must work hard, practice, and be patient. I doubt he will have those three criteria's in the NBA, so I think he will end up as a bust.
Projected Average Season Stats: 5.3 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 0.9 APG
Player Comparison: Julian Wright
Brandon Jennings
My biggest bust will have to be Jennings. He has bad shooting percantages, and can't shoot beyond mid-range. He hates to play defense, so his Man-Man is horrible. He is a poor rebounder, and has absolutely no leadership skills. I saw about 5 of his games, and he only averages around 10 Points in those games. If you average 10 points in Europe league, imagine how bad you will be in the NBA.
Projected Average Season Stats: 2.1 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 1.9 APG
Player Comparison: Goran Dragic (Yes he is a player)
Between the Lines:
Ricky Rubio
Jrue Holiday
Stephan Curry
Tyler Hansborough
Tyreke Evans
Dejuan Blair.
Biggest Bust: Brandon Jennings
Most Successful: Hasheem Thabeet
Most questionable: Ricky Rubio
I know many people will think I'm crazy, but strange things have happened in the NBA. I took a huge risk putting Thabeet as successful, because he also has a great chance of being a Bust. Brandon Jennings in my opinion will be a bust. Rubio, and his crew should be average players, such as Courtney Lee, Trevor Ariza, Rafer Alston, and you know what I mean!
The 2009 NBA Draft is currently 3 weeks away!!!!!!!

You are crazy. I'm guessing that these are career averages you predicted and not rookie stats, but Thabeet will never average even 15 points, not to mention 19
