I wanna know why the Magic "snuck up" on Lebron James and the Cavs. No one thought of the Magic truly having a chance against Lebron, despite having an infinitely better supporting cast. Anyway, to the finals...
The Lakers, led by Kobe and Pau Gasol will take on the Magic, led by Dwight "Man Child" Howard. The first game is tonight.
Everyone wants to know: who on the Magic can possibly cover Kobe Bryant?
I answer that question with another one: who on the Lakers can possibly cover Dwight Howard? Pau Gasol? No. Andrew Bynum? That's funny, he never shows up.
I feel kinda bad that the Lakers have Bynum, he is probably the worst type of player to have; young and full of potential, so you have to play him, but then he falls on his face. They are obligated to integrate him extensively in everything they do, but he never lives up to expectations. I'd much rather have a reliable 7th or 8th man than an inconsistent starter. Anyway, I digress.
What I expect to see from the Magic is Mickael Pietrus covering Kobe, but otherwise let him do what he wants, similar to how Lebron was treated. Dwight should be able to get Pau under control. I see Magic in 7. Kobe will bust out and carry them every once in a while, but even Kobe gets tired.
However, one person that could provide a big problem for the Magic is on their own team: Jameer Nelson plans to start tonight? The last time he played was February 2nd. 4 months and 2 days, and he's starting.
That's a good idea. (sarcasm)
If they slowly move him into a starting role until game 2 or 3, I think they will be ok. Otherwise, the Lakers will win it. It's man-child's turn to take the stage. I love the guys who cleanup the rebounds, and I am pulling for the biggest center superstar since shaq.
The X factor for the Lakes is a man I haven't mentioned yet, named Lamar Odom. If Bynum is as ineffective as I think he will be, then Odom has to step it up and eat his sweets.
Alright, I am done, sorry if this "analysis" and prediction ain't enough for you, I did the best I could in 15 minutes.
Pau Gasol. I love that name, it's got a little ring to it.
