Going To The Dogs! Dissecting Mister Balsillie's Request. | State Of The FanNation

Let's be honest here. Mister Balsillie dosen't give a coyote's rear end about the City Of Phoenix, the Coyotes fans (or lack thereof), demographics, the team's supposed losses, or for that matter the fans of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He and his partners only care about profits, the tax shelter, positive press, and whetting the appetites of the gullible fans. If Mister Balsillie felt he could get that in Phoenix, or for that matter Kansas City, Nashville, or Pittsburgh, he would get it no ifs, ands, buts, or maybes. Well, in this case, I have only have sympathy for the Coyotes, their fans, and the Phoenix/Glendale area. They were hoodwinked into getting the franchise, building the Jobing.com Arena, and all of the promise of a Stanley Cup. What they ended up with is a dumb stuff manager, a manager's golddigging wife who dabbled in illegal gambling, and a majority owner who was content to run the franchise into the financial abyss and pawn it off and ship it lock, stock, and barrel to another city. I mean thank you very much Mister Boyes for nothing! The Coyotes, the Phoenix metropolitan area, the fans, and the loyal press who covered them ended up getting the shaft on this one.
