So Thursday night in Pittsburgh for game 4, the Penguins had one of there best games of the entire playoffs, taking full advantage of a very tired looking Detroit squad.
When Detroit scored 2 minutes in to the second period, I am sure every Pittsburgh, and NHL fan though, not again. Detroit getting a one goal lead, players screening their own goalie, and giving up an early period goal. Not to mention back to back penalty's by the Penguins, giving Detroit full momentum. But when Stall took the pass and broke up the centre of the ice, fans leaning at the edge of there chairs, and saw him out muscle one of the better defensemen in the league for that short handed goal, I knew this was not the same Pittsburgh team from a year ago.
You could see the look in the team's face that they were doing something they could not do at all against this veteran Red Wings team, and were taking fully advantage of it. After that, the third goal by Malkin was pure patience on his part, after having his first pass blocked, to get a second chance to get the puck over to Crosby for the easy put in. After that, the flood gates opened for the high flying penguins, who showed there great offensive skills on the 4th goal with there side to side passing around the Red Wings players.
With there series all tied up, no doubt Pittsburgh is going into Detroit thinking they have momentum, and are not going to let up. Not ruling out Detroit at all as they have only lost one game at home during these playoffs, and early reports are saying that Datsyuk will be back in the lineup for game 5. Pittsburgh has full momentum, and if they want to bring the cup to Pittsburgh this offseason, they need to win one in Detroit. No better time to do that with the Red Wings taking a change to pick them selves back up after there worst game of the playoffs in game 4.
