Jeff Gordon says a operation is not in the cards but his back has been bad for the last year. He will take more shots but that will only work for so long especially if you keep doing what has caused the bad back to start with. Long hours sitting in a car and being pushed into the seat by G-forces that most of us can only wonder about.
Are we seeing his last big push for his 5th Championship?
Even if he does not get that 5th Championship he can still hold his head high knowing that is among possibly only The King and The Man in Black in NASCAR history.
As a Gordon fan I would love nothing more to see Gordon continue for years to come but if this is his last year, I will watch and thank him for the years he did put in and I got to watch him.
