Here I will talk about the Chiefs offseason aquisitions and their offseason losses.
This offseason the Chiefs aquired a few strong defensive players that will most likely make the defense stronger. They have added veteran LB Donnie Edwards, LB Napoleon Harris, DT Alfonso Boone and DB Jon McGraw. With these additions they will be stronger on defense because they have already grommed most of they past players to do well. They have many good players on their defense such as DE Tamba Hali, DE Jared Allen, CB Ty Law and CB Patrick Surtain. They also have fairly good safeties in Greg Wesley and Jarred Page and good linebackers with Derrick Johnson and Donnie Edwards. They also added some offensive players like OT Damion McIntosh and C Jean-Philippe Darche.
Now to their offseason losses. They have now minimized their o-line by dropping Jordan Black (free agency) and Will Shields (retirement). That will make it harder for the Chiefs to run the ball and pass it. They also got rid of Ryan Sims, DT. But one of the most critical moves the Chiefs made was the trade of Dante Hall to the St. Louis Rams. They will definetly miss him at WR and especially at kick returner.
But the Chiefs do have something to cheer up about because they didn't do to bad in the 2007 NFL Draft as they drafted WR Dwayne Bowe from LSU in the first round. They also drafted DE Turk McBride and DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler at the DT position.
That is it for this post and I hope that the Chiefs do good this upcoming season.
