Sorry for the long stretch without the Report.  Let's get right to a few stories for today.

The Big Deal- Ashley to sell Newcastle for 100 million pounds?  The Newcastle owner has stated that he wants to sell his side for what seems to be a ridicolous sum of cash.  But there is no doubting the fact that he will lose over 100 million pound through his investment.  Apparently Ashley would like to keep his life over his ownership of Newcastle.

Weekend Results- I'm going to quickly recap all of the matches that included big teams.

We're going to Europe to start this thing off.  Portugal scaved off near disaster in the 90th minute to beat Albania 2-1.  England crushed Kazakhstan 4-0.  Berry, Heskey, Rooney, and Lampard scored goals.  Croatia scored in the 2nd minute but failed to beat Ukraine.  2-2 was the final there.  The Netherlands scored two early goals to take it 2-1 over Iceland.  Iceland scored in the 88th.

To Africa we go.  Gabon defeated Adebayor and the Togolese 3-0.  Cameroon only mustered a 0-0 draw against Morocco.  Nigeria won 3-0 over Kenya.  Algeria downed Cup of Nations Winner Egypt by a score of 3-1.  Egypt scored with 4 minutes left to play.  Asamoah and Essien netted for Ghana in their 2-0 win over Mali.  The Ivory Coast defeated Guinea 2-1.

Now we head east to Asia.  Japan defeated Uzbekistan 1-0 in a tough environment.  North Korea went down 1-0 to Iran.  Qatar held Australia to 0-0.  South Korea defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score 2-0.  The red cards came in the match.

Now we'll have to take a boat over to the western hemisphere.  We head to the South American region first.  Brazil went to Montevideo and wiped Uruguay off the face of the planet with a 4-0 win.  Alves, Juan, Luis Fabiano, and Kaka all scored goals.  Argentina were able to overdo Colombia 1-0 thanks to a goal from Daniel Alberto Diaz.  Chile got a big win in Paraguay (2-0).

Our trip is nearly over now.  We are back close to home in the CONCACAF region.  Costa Rica continues to roll after defeating T&T on the road in great fashion.  Borges scored two more for Costa Rica in the 3-2 win.  El Salvador defeated an under-par Mexican side 2-1.  Both teams scored a penalty in the match.  The United States came back to win 2-1 after giving up a goal to Carlos Costly in the 5th minute.  Carlos Bocanegra scored the winner before being pulled after an injury.

A few teams are already qualified for the World Cup.  Those teams are:

South Africa

Australia

Japan

Korea Republic

Netherlands
