Whoa, Lakers just ducked one. Just ducked one by mere inches. Mr. Bryant, the one guarding Lee, almost ends up as the proverbial goat if Courtney Lee's put-in shot actually goes in. Didn't Pau Gasol gooooal tend? Well, maybe; but the refs aren't going to call that at the end of a championship game, particularly in LA.
I had just missed Hedo Turkoglu's blocked shot on Kobe. I had been napping earlier (hey, needed my beauty sleep), and didn't turn on the game until Kobe's shot was blocked with 0.6 seconds to go. So a fantastic ally-oop pass from Turk to Lee fails to produce a win, and we go into OT. Drama. I say drama.
Well, not too much more I can say about the game being I only caught the OT, except again I'm still hearing about the bad calls from the refs. And having to pan to Mr. Nicholson from time to time I guess is a grating necessity, unless he's interfering with the flow of the game.
I had heard a sportscaster on the radio say how Nicholson was so incensed over a certain call that Coach Van Gundy actually had to wait for him to finish his rant before he could proceed himself with what he needed to do. If Nich. is interfering with the game like that, then toss his ugly booty out.
That was a nice veteran play from Turk (Yes he has been the "glu". . . Get it Turko--Glu. . . who has been holding the Magic team together) able to cooly block Kobe's shot without fouling. Cool. . . veteran cool.
Yep, Kobe could have been that CB who gets burned by the wide receiver for a TD if that shot goes in.
