Several
news bits to discuss in regards to the Washington Redskins, as we
embark on perhaps the deadest point of the off-season, the period
between OTAs and training camp. We will do this by bringing back Smoke
Signal, which will be in everything Redskins article, similar to our
RED ALERT for the Caps and SPEEDING BULLETS for the Bullets. Draft Choices Sign . . . LB Cody Glenn (5th round) and FB Eddie Williams (7th round) signed contracts with the Redskins. Glenn, a Linebacker out of Nebraska, was drafted in the fifth round and will battle in training camp for a backup role. Glenn could have an inside track because of his known special teams prowess at Nebraska, which is exactly what he will need to do at Ashburn for the Redskins. Eddie Williams seems destined for a practice squad spot and could possibly be considered the heir at Fullback to Mike Sellers.
