Thoughts From the Mind of a Cheezhead

It's been a while, in fact, it's been nine months, since I was active on this site. This might be the fifth time I have come back since the site relaunched in early September. Here's a few thoughts that have crossed my mind in the first five minutes since re-uniting with my profile, using the same avatar that I started off with:

--Hmmm, that's good. FN realized that headlining the home page with Truth and Rumors, and not the SI writers that can't make the mag, is more user-friendly. Just like the good old days. I'm not convinced yet.

--I took a quick look at the MLB scoreboard on the top of the screen, and they had my Mets' final score against the Mets up from the first game of the Subway Series. That's cool, except that the series is over. That game was on Friday.

--That's pretty amazing. The Chat Room Group, aka the Atroo, a group that 95% of the users that are on this site frequently now has no relation with, still has the most posts in the site's history. Atroo power, forever and always (seriously, forever: we're still alive on another site).

--I still have to ask, what in the world were the moderators thinking? Making GroupMail a separate page was terrible. It killed the first round of good users before the September re-launch killed a bunch of the second wave. If there still was GroupMail a lot of the lost members may still be around.

--Isn't there an active chat thread anymore? We used to have the Nosebleed Section, Rumor Mill, DayWalkers, Night Owls, and Atroo active with at least 5 people every day. I really don't know where to go to catch up with people now.

--I still don't have it in me to go back to throwdowns. It used to be good, but ever since the site re-launch, I lost that old spark with the td's.

--Things seem a lot quieter without Cassidy's House around...remember her/him? Good times. Been almost a year since the mega-block on the user.

--I'm trying to re-do my top friends on this site, to cut it down. But I can't. When I try to rearrange the order by clicking a dragging an avatar, it just multiplies and leaves a transparent avatar wherever I drag it too. What the hell?

--I still hate the new FN too much to come back completely. Sorry guys.

Oh, and informativesports.com. Check it out, people.

Day Walkers still exists Cheez and you are a part of it still. We still have the daily thread.

Cassidy is still around, in whatever new user he had to create because he keeps getting deleted.

Welcome back, sort of.

Rumor Mill is still alive.

And then on the weekend, LP's Luxuries is the group to go to.

FN is still pretty good in a lot of ways, although I understand your complaints.

That icon dragging thing is really strange.....I would think that should be an easy fix.
