I am a blog virgin, with much to say. I will start with these thoughts:
I was just reading a whole back and forth on another sports website which I will not name here. First of all, it annoys the hell out of me when people comment (in caps no less) and are completely misinformed. This guy was going on about how Cuban was a self made millionaire from Google. It was Yahoo moron...I really hope he somehow reads this blog. Now that i have that off my chest, could the Cubs really have any better chance at becoming perennial contenders than somehow getting this guy approved as their next owner? Does everybody remember how bad the Mavericks were when e took over? How quickly they turned it around? Is he an arrogant ****? Sure. Who the hell cares? The guy spends his money on his team and making them successful. How many Reds, Pirate, Devil Rays, etc. fans would KILL to have Cuban as their owner (is there such a thing as a Devil Rays fan?). If Bud Selig wants to do right by one of the most loyal fan bases in the league, who have suffered through so much pain and ineptitude, he has an obligation to swing this thing in Cuban's favor. Also, the additional fuel to the fire would be that the owner of the South Siders, Mr Reinsdorf, touts himself as the guy who voted against Cuban in the NBA, so that would spice up the interleague games just a little more, (now that Barrett is gone, who will punch Pierzynski?). That being said, allow me to state that I am a Mets fan, not a Cubs fan, but think that Cuban would be great for baseball.

As a fellow mets fan I will digress to speak on the beloved 'cubbies". Now I love Cuban as a basketball owner he and the Moloff brothers in Scramento have done great things for there teams, BUT the old joke was there's a basketball team in Dallas. They had no history Cuban gave them that. Now with the lovable losers on the North side admist all the losing there a pride in the windy city team has never changed. Because if it was for that black cat in 69' or Steve F'en Bartman they would have a championship. So altohugh it may look good to Cuban did you see what Daniel Synder has done in Washington some time big personialty and storied franchises don't mix. You know maybe a better fit for Cuban would be tampa bay because then you would know there in TAMPA
